Doniphan United Methodist Youth

On June 16, 9 youth and 2 adults headed to Beaumont, TX for the CCYM Hurricane Rita Recovery Camp. After a 12 hour trip down (that included a few wrong turns) the campers set up at Christ Covenant Church and Wesley United Methodist Church for the beds and clean-up.  The campers rose a 5:00 a.m. and after breakfast and a devotional time, headed to their work sight.  Our group rebuilt a roof, did drywall repair, fixed a window and roof repair on another house. 

The day ended around 4:00 in the afternoon when we went to our respective churches, (boys at Christ Covenant church, girls at Wesley) and then gathered at Wesley church for supper and worship.

The youth group wants to thank everyone for all of the support and prayers to make this trip a success, we could not have done it without you.
